Military kids are such a special group. They learn at such a young age to be flexible and understanding when things change. Often this can go against their temperament and make life much more difficult for everyone around them. I have two children that grew up in the Navy. We were on vacation last summer and a waitress asked my daughter where home was. She looked at me and said, "I don't know. I guess home is where we live now. Even though I was born in Maryland and spent 5 years there, California is where I live now. So I guess California is my home."
